"Summer nights, when I was a youngin were spent close to home and
outside. Momaw wouldn't let us wonder more than a holler away. So I
spent many an after supper looking in the sky at the man in the moon and
them stars around him. Special gifts with stars and moons are precious
things for me. Like this lantern. Especially when you light it up with a
nice candle. I put in strawberry candles when I can find them, and the
smell brings me back to June night's stealing wuffelberries from old man
Drassiere's back garden!" |
